Overview
Having a baby is one of the hardest and most important events of your life and we need to prepare and practice for it! There are a lot more things we can control during birth to prevent pelvic floor and core dysfunction and we need to practice and learn those things.
There is so much information that OBGYNs, Midwives, and Doulas just don’t have time to go over that is very valuable to you during pregnancy and birth. Important information such as your anatomy and the changes that occur physiologically and hormonally during pregnancy and labor, how to prepare your PF for immense stretching and lengthening that it has never done before, exercises for your pelvic floor/core/hip/pelvis for during pregnancy to keep you stable and balanced and to help you prepare for birth, laboring positions, and breathing strategies, and how to exactly push especially when in discomfort and fatigued.
Don’t just show up the day you are giving birth and expect a great outcome. Prepare, practice, and control the things you can to have the best outcome for you and your baby and to avoid any surprises and complications that may happen.
Completing this course will help you:
- to know what to expect in labor and how to best prepare our body and mind for it
- to prepare your pelvic floor for labor
- to have a better chance at avoiding tearing, getting an episiotomy, using forceps/vacuum and C-section
- to control the things you can control in labor in order to have a better outcome for mom and baby
- know what exercises to do during pregnancy and before birth to help you have the best chance at a efficient and productive birth
